Expedite Policy

The office will consider requests for expedite of application review only when submitted by a state agency, or educational institution or other public agency.  The office will not consider requests submitted from prime contractors or applicant businesses.  The request must be received at least ten days prior to a bid opening or proposal due date.  Go to www.omwbe.wa.gov to see the full policy.

Linked Deposit Program Update

From inception of this program, participating banks have had the authority to reduce interest by up to two percent on loans to qualified businesses certified by the Office of Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises.  Since the beginning of 2009, the reduction in interest rates has not been available at all participating banks.  If you are applying for certification for the purpose of qualifying for this program, please take note of these facts.
