INFORMATION AND OTHER LINKS TO OMWBE'S DIRECTORY OF CERTIFIED FIRMS

BizNet is the State of Washington's universal listing of businesses ready, willing and able to do business with the State of Washington and other public agencies.  For OMWBE it includes all certified businesses identified in OMWBE's "Directory of Certified Minority, Women, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises" (OMWBE Directory).  

OMWBE updates the database daily with any action or change that effects businesses listed in the Directory of Certified Minority, Women, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises.

OMWBE separately maintains the OMWBE Directory as part of its mandate according to chapter 39.19 RCW.

Designed in part to assist buyers and contracting officers more quickly disseminate notice of procurement and contracting opportunities to OMWBE certified businesses whose product line and/or services match that opportunity.  BizNet enables them to target their solicitation and supplier diversity outreach efforts.  Customized lists can be created using any of the following sort methods on the Main Menu:

Ø     Search By Business Name

Ø     Search By Business Description (Keyword)

Ø      Search By S.I.C. Code (Standard Industrial Classification Code)

Ø     Search By N.A.I.C.S. Code (North American Industry Classification System Code)

Each of these sort criterion will also identify businesses in a particular geographical area; e.g., county, state, or zip code.  Other useful features of BizNet include:

Ø      Displays all SIC codes and NAICS codes assigned to a business

Ø      Ability to email a vendor (including attachment e.g., spec sheet)

BizNet is one of three modules in the State's contract management and reporting system (CMATS).  It is a web-based application that is accessible to those users interested in using the system who have been training in Supplier Diversity and the use of the system.  User's outside the state's Intranet can access the system by contacting OMWBE.

RSVP - Firm has failed to respond to the recertification application update or additional information.

RECL - Firm has requested the office to close their file.

NLIB - Office staff unable to make any contact with firm and/or firm notifies the office they are no longer in business.

GRAD - Firm has graduated from the OMWBE Program.

CTRL - Control issues.

OWNS - Ownership issues.

LIC - Not Properly Licensed

MISC - Firm was decertified for failure to notify the office of significant changes.  (e.g.; merging with a noncertified company, structure change, etc.)
