FY 2018 CDBG PUBLIC FACILITIES FUNDS
Pierce County Human Services is soliciting applications for the 2018 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Public Facilities program. The Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for approximately $1,030,000 in funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is for public facility projects that benefit Pierce County low- and moderate-income residents, excluding the cities of Lakewood, Tacoma, Pacific, Auburn, Enumclaw, and Bonney Lake. Eligible activities include acquisition of housing, infrastructure improvements, community facilities, or economic development activities. Priority will be given to projects requesting $50,000 or more. The funding will be offered in the form of a grant to nonprofit, public, and government agencies.
The Department will hold one application workshop on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. to answer questions on the NOFA. The workshop will be held at the Human Services office located at 1305 Tacoma Avenue South, Suite 104, Tacoma in Conference Room C.
